Elizabeth Eye Care

Elizabeth Eye Care is part of the Australian College of Optometry (ACO), a not for profit organisation that has been providing high quality, affordable eye care for over 75 years. In 2019 we opened our first South Australian clinic, based in Elizabeth. The ACO is dedicated to providing accessible and affordable eye care, and advancing the profession through world-class research and education.

Tristan Glover

Tristan Glover

Tristan is the site manager and optometrist at Elizabeth Eye Care. He graduated from Flinders University Masters in Optometry with a letter of commendation from the Dean. Before taking up the role in Elizabeth, Tristan worked at the Australian College of Optometry’s main eye care clinic in Carlton Melbourne. Here he was was involved in contact lenses and ocular disease care as well being involved with outreach work to regional and remote Victoria. Tristan is always making sure his patients understand everything they need to know and discusses all of the management options available. When he is not in the clinic you will often find Tristan exploring the many fire roads up in the Adelaide hills on his mountain bike.

Julie

Julie

Julie is a qualified Optical dispenser with over 18 years experience. She is passionate about providing a friendly, patient focused approach to eye care and finding spectacle solutions to suit all needs. Having previously worked in ophthalmology for some of her career, she is well equipped to taking images and scans, allowing her to help our patients in multiple ways. In her spare time she enjoy cooking, gardening and running.

At Elizabeth Eye Care, we are committed to providing culturally appropriate care to all patients both in our clinic and within the community. Offering remote and school vision screenings, we are proud to be involved with SA Health and Flinders University in the set-up and running of a dedicated Aboriginal eye clinic out of the Watto Purrunna aboriginal health service.

At Elizabeth Eye Care, we do co-management with doctors, optometrists and other health professionals. If you would like to refer a patient to us you can fax us on 7009 4299 or if you’re an optometrist, you can refer to Elizabeth Eye Care via Oculo by searching Elizabeth Eye Care or Tristan Glover. 

Notice of Closure

Unfortunately, the Australian College of Optometry (ACO) has made the difficult decision to cease providing clinical services in South Australia and will be closing our Elizabeth Eye Care clinic at the end of June 2023, with the last appointment offered on 2 June 2023.
